The most important news for all mountain hiking enthusiasts. The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) has announced that on Wednesday, August 19th and Thursday, August 20th, the turn-off to the iconic Miradouro do Ninho da Manta viewpoint will be completely closed for maintenance.

- What this means in practice: The main PR1 trail itself remains fully open. However, it will not be possible to take the detour to visit the world-famous “Buzzard’s Nest” viewpoint, where stairs and railings are being repaired.
